1925: MERV GRIFFIN, who was the voice of the off-screen radio announcer in "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms", is born in San Mateo, Calif. He was also in the films "So This Is Love" and "The Boy From Oklahoma", hosted his own talk show, and created the game shows "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune".
1931: ROBERT DUNHAM, who played Emporer Antonio of Seatopia in "Godzilla vs. Megalon", is born in Maine. He also played a Rolisican official in "Mothra", Mark Jackson in "Dogora", Captain Martin in "The Green Slime", and an airline captain in "E.S.P.Y."
