Iwao Hyodo in "Godzilla vs. Biollante", "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla 2" and "Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla", the aquarium watchman in "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah", a military man in "Godzilla 2000", the village headman in "Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack", and General Dobashi in "Godzilla x Mechagodzilla" and "Godzilla x Mothra x Mechagodzilla: Tokyo S.O.S."

1997: TOMOYUKI TANAKA, producer of the Godzilla series from 1954 through 1995, dies of a stroke at 86 in Tokyo. He produced over 200 films, including many of Akira Kurosawa's classics.
