1917: RAYMOND BURR, who played not-so-wild-and-crazy reporter Steve Martin in the U.S. inserts for "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" and "Godzilla 1985", is born in New Westminster, B.C. Best known as TV’s "Perry Mason", he was also the murderer in "Rear Window" and the star of TV’s "Ironside", and appeared in the films "San Quentin", "Ruthless", "Raw Deal", "Walk a Crooked Mile", "The Pitfall", "Adventures of Don Juan", "Black Magic", "The Whip Hand", "The Magic Carpet", "Love Happy", "Bride of the Gorilla", "A Place in the Sun", "Mara Maru", "Meet Danny Wilson", "Tarzan and the She-Devil", "Gorilla at Large", "A Man Alone", "Affair in Havana", "Desire in the Dust", "P.J.", "Tomorrow Never Comes", "Airplane II: The Sequel", and "Delirious".

1926: CHIEKO NAKAKITA, who was in "The Three Treasures" and played the desparate mothers in "The Last War" and "Godzilla versus the Sea Monster", is born. Married to producer Tomoyuki Tanaka, she also was in "Wonderful Sunday".

He was also the voice of Data on the Japanese dub of "Star Trek: The Next Generation".

Noted for playing eccentrics and aliens, his roles include the young reporter in "The Invisible Man", Tajima of the Osaka Defense Corps in "Godzilla Raids Again", the leader of "The Mysterians", the detective in the gray suit in "The H-Man", military officer Katsumoto in "Varan the Unbelievable", alien-controlled Iwomura in "Battle in Outer Space", Det. Capt. Onosaki in "The Secret of the Telegian", Mizuno the librarian a.k.a. "The Human Vapor", millionaire Fumio Kasai in "Attack of the Mushroom People", Mr. Kawai in "Frankenstein Conquers the World", the Controller of Planet X in "Godzilla vs. Monster Zero", "Ultra Q", "The Killing Bottle", crazy Furukawa in "Son of Godzilla", Kilaak-controlled Dr. Otani in "Destroy All Monsters", Dr. Kyochi Mida in "Yog — Monster from Space", and businessman Yasuaki Shindo in "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah". 1916: ADRIANA CASELOTTI, who owned the studio at which "Bambi Meets Godzilla" was made, is born in Bridgeport, Conn. She is best known as the voice of the heroine in "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs".

1942: ISAO SASAKI is born. He was in "Monster Hunter Juspion" and played Dr. Mochizuki on "Kamen Rider ZO", and sang the theme songs for "8 Kamen Riders vs. Galaxy King", "Kamen Rider 10’s Birth! Riders Unite!", "Super Manchine: Metalder", and "Metalder: The Movie", as well as songs from "Secret Task Force Goranger", "Space Ironman Kyodain", "Superhuman Bebyun", and "JAKQ Blitzkrieg Squad".

1969: "Godzilla versus the Sea Monster" is released in West Germany.
