Nominated for an Academy Award for "Twilight of Honor", he played Johnny Yuma on the TV series "The Rebel", and appeared in the films "Somebody Loves Me", "Mister Roberts", "Picnic", "Rebel Without a Cause", "Our Miss Brooks", "No Time for Sergeants", "The FBI Story", "Pillow Talk", "The Interns", "The Hook", "Young Dillinger", and "Mission Mars", as well as "The Killing Bottle" with three-time costar Kumi Mizuno, with whom he allegedly had an affair.
1965: DYLAN RUSH, who did set lighting on "Ultraman, the Ultimate Hero" and was dolly grip on "V.R. Troopers", is born in Los Angeles.
1966: The "Ultraman Birth Special", featuring a live broadcast of the stage show "Ultraman is Born", airs on Japanese TV.

He was director on "Super Star God Granseizar", chief assistant director on "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah", "Rebirth of Mothra", and "Rebirth of Mothra 2", and an assistant director on "It's All Right My Friend" and "Tampopo", as well as having a cameo as a maser tank pilot in "Godzilla x Mechagodzilla".

1958: KEVIN BACON is born in Philadelphia. Three degrees: Godzilla suit actor Haruo Nakajima played the winged lion in "Latitude Zero" with Richard Jaeckel, who was in "Starman" with Karen Allen, who was in "National Lampoon's Animal House" with Kevin Bacon.
1960: "Battle in Outer Space" is released in the U.S.

1922: WILLIAM SCHALLERT, who played an ambulance attendant in "Them!", is born in Los Angeles.
1925: MERV GRIFFIN, who was the voice of the off-screen radio announcer in "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms", is born in San Mateo, Calif. Achieving his first success singing "I’ve Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts", he was also in the films "So This Is Love" and "The Boy From Oklahoma", hosted his own self-titled talk show, and created the game shows "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune".
1931: ROBERT DUNHAM, who played Emporer Antonio of Seatopia in "Godzilla vs. Megalon", is born in Maine. He also played a Rolisican official in "Mothra", Mark Jackson in "Dogora, the Space Monster", Captain Martin in "The Green Slime", and an airline captain in "E.S.P.Y."
