1909: MOTOYOSHI ODA, who directed "Godzilla Raids Again" and "The Invisible Man", is born in Fukuoka. He also directed "Song of Kunya" and "Lady from Hell", and was assistant director on "Eagle of the Pacific".

1927: PAUL BLAISDELL, prop constructor of the giant needle on "The Amazing Colossal Man" and who did special designs on "Earth vs. the Spider", is born.

1931: TADAO FUTAMI, who was in "Lake of Dracula", is born in Tokyo.

1938: TAMIO KAWAJI, who played Hiroshi Kurosaki in "Gappa the Triphibian Monster" and TPC General Shoichiro Sawai on "Ultraman Tiga", is born in Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

1942: PATRICIA ELLIOT, who played a nurse in "The Green Slime", is born in Gunnison, Colo. She won a Tony in 1973 for the musical "A Little Night Music".

1956: FUKUMI KURODA, who played Queen Ahames on "Blitzkrieg Task Force Changeman", is born in Tokyo.

1968: Episode 42 of "Ultra Seven", "Messenger of Nonmalt" (a.k.a. "The Boy on the Beach"), debuts on Japanese TV.

1972: Episode 16 of "Transforming Ninja Arashi" debuts on Japanese TV.

1917: PAUL HUBSCHMID, who played Tom Nesbitt in "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms", is born in Schoenenwerd, Aargau, Switzerland. He was the first Swiss film star, beginning with "Fuesilier Wipf".

1937: KEN OGATA, who played Prof. Tsuchiya in "Virus", is born in Tokyo.

1941: KOJI ISHIZAKA, who played the power plant guard in "Godzilla 1985" is born in Tokyo. He also was the narrator in "Ultra Q: The Movie" and "Ultraman Cosmos: First Contact" and played Mikado in "Princess from the Moon".

1963: TOMITA KANA, who played Sheema on "Blitzkrieg Task Force Changeman", is born.

1964: HIROYUKI KAWASE, who played Ken Yano in "Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster" and Rokuro "Rokku-chan" Ibuki in "Godzilla vs. Megalon", is born in Usa, Japan. Making his film debut as the beggar's son in "Dodes'kaden", he was also in "Time of the Apes".

1973: Episode 42 of "Warrior of Love Rainbowman", "Pursuit 1000 km", debuts on Japanese TV.

1974: "Chi o suu bara" ("The Blood-Sucking Rose") a.k.a. "Evil of Dracula" is released in Japan.
Episode 23 of "Kamen Rider X", "King Dark, Devil’s Invention", debuts on Japanese TV.
Episode 16 of "Electroid Zaborger", "The Mecha Borg of Fear is Born!", debuts on Japanese TV.

1979: "The Bermuda Depths" is released in Japan.

1987: ICHIRO ARASHIMA, who played Mr. Tako in "King Kong vs. Godzilla" and Senin the wizard in "The Lost World of Sinbad", dies.

1992: HERMAN KING, who did public relations for "Gorgo", dies at 76.

2001: Hiroko Sakurai (Fuji from "Ultraman") appears at the San Diego Comic Con, while Daisuke Ban ("Kikaida") and Shunsuke Ikeda ("Kikaida 01") appear at the Hawaii All-Collectors Show in Honolulu.
"Urutoraman Kosumosu: First Contact" ("Ultraman Cosmos: First Contact") is released in Japan.

1913: MARVIN MILLER, who narrated "The Deadly Mantis" and the U.S. release of "Godzilla Raids Again", is born Marvin Mueller in St. Louis. He also did voice work in "Gammera the Invincible" and was in the U.S. version of "Tidal Wave". He was the star of "The Millionaire" and the voice of Robby the Robot in "Forbidden Planet".

1918: CARL OTTOSEN, who played Gen. Mark Grayson in "Reptilicus", is born in Denmark.

1966: Episode 3 of "The Space Giants", "Gam! Defeat Mogunes!" (a.k.a. "Attack of the Molesaurus"), debuts on Japanese TV.

1973: "Kamen Raidaa Bui Surii tai Desutoron Kaijin" ("Kamen Rider V3 vs. Destron Demons") is released in Japan.
"Robot Detective: The Movie" is released in Japan.

1976: "Secret Task Force Goranger: Bomb Hurricane" is released in Japan.

1978: "JAKQ Blitzkrieg Squad vs. Goranger" is released in Japan.
