He played pilot Shoichi Tsukioka in "Godzilla Raids Again", Dr. Shinichi Chujo in "Mothra" and "Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.", a professor in "Atragon", Captain Naoyuki Sekeda in "Attack of the Mushroom People", Professor Miura in "Godzilla vs. the Thing", Korino in "Dagora, the Space Monster", Professor Murai in "Ghidrah — the Three-Headed Monster", Professor Wagura in "Godzilla vs. the Cosmic Monster", a scientist in "Last Days of Planet Earth", and geologist Dr. Minami in "Godzilla 1985". Making his film debut in "The Man Who Went to Port", he also produced "Tetsuo II: Body Hammer" and "Genesis Survivor Gaiarth" and hosted the game show "Quiz Grand Prix".

1938: JUNJI SHIMADA, who played Professor Kyuutaro Yumeno on "Science Task Force Dynaman", is born in Ashiya, Hyogo, Japan.
