1934: GORO MUTSUMI, who played the leaders of the aliens from the Third Planet from the Black Hole, Kuronuma in "Godzilla vs. the Cosmic Monster" and Mugar in "Terror of Mechagodzilla", is born Kiyoji Nakanishi in Kobe. He also dubbed Russ Tamblyn in "War of the Gargantuas", and played Commander Umino on "Fireman", an "ESPY" team member, and was the alien leader in "The War in Space".
1956: NORMAN FIELD, who played a general in "Them!", dies in Hollywood.
1966: Episode 9 of "Ultraman", "Operation: Uranium", debuts on Japanese TV.
1968: TETSUO KURATA, who played Kotaro Minami a.k.a. "Kamen Rider Black" and "Kamen Rider Black RX", is born Tetsuo Takayama in Tokyo. He also played the character in the movies "Kamen Rider Black: Terror of Demon Pass", "Kamen Rider Black: Hurry! To Evil Island", and "Kamen Rider: All Around the World".
1971: Episode 24 of "Kamen Rider", "Deadly Poison Demon Kinogomoru's Sortie", debuts on Japanese TV.
1976: Episode 60 of "Secret Task Force Goranger" debuts on Japanese TV.
1987: LORNE GREENE, who played Ambassador Warren Richards in the U.S. release of "Tidal Wave", dies of pneumonia in Santa Monica, Calif.
1988: Episode 48 of "Kamen Rider Black" debuts on Japanese TV.
1992: EIJI GO, who played Baron Fang on "Kamen Rider V3" and Dr. Go on "Kamen Rider V3 vs. Destron", dies in Tokyo. He was the brother of Jo Shishido.
1993: Episode 23 of "Electronic Superhuman Gridman", "Assassination! Hell's Thunder", debuts on Japanese TV.
1998: "Godzilla", is released in Austria, Denmark, and Finland, and in the German-speaking region of Switzerland.

1920: BYRON MORROW, who played a TV newscaster in the U.S. version of "King Kong vs. Godzilla" and a general in "The Mysterians", is born in Chicago.
1929: SACHIO SAKAI, who played Hagiwara the reporter in "Gojira", is born. He also played Norikata the third member of the ski party in "Half Human: The Story of the Abominable Snowman", Mr. Taki in "The Secret of the Telegian", a physician in "Gorath", Mr. Tako’s assistant Obayashi in "King Kong vs. Godzilla", a henchman in "King Kong Escapes", Senbayashi the bank robber in "Godzilla's Revenge", a driver in "The Vampire Doll", and the editor in "Yog — Monster from Space". Sakai was also in "The Killing Bottle" and was a praying old man in "Rhapsody in August".
