1940: CHARLES FOX, who co-composed the score for "The Green Slime", is born in New York City. He went on to write the themes for "Happy Days", "Laverne & Shirley", and "The Love Boat". ED LAUTER, who played Carnahan in the 1976 remake of "King Kong", is born in Long Beach, N.Y.
1950: YUSUKE NATSU, who played Sky-Zel on "Space Ironmen: Kyodyne", is born in Arao, Kumamoto, Japan.
1966: Episode 16 of "Ultraman", "Science Patrol into Space", debuts on Japanese TV. JOHN DRAINIE, who did various voices for Rankin-Bass’s "King Kong", dies of cancer in Toronto. He was born in 1916.
