1930: DAVID O. SELZNICK, who co-produced "King Kong", marries Irene Mayer, daughter of MGM producer Louis B. Mayer.
KYOKO KISHIDA, who was in "The Last Days of Planet Earth" and played Kogo in "Princess from the Moon", is born in Tokyo.

1934: AKIRA TAKARADA, who played Naval Salvage Officer Hideo Ogata in "Godzilla, King of the Monsters", is born in Chosun, Korea. 1923: SENKICHI OMURA, who played the translator in "King Kong vs. Godzilla" and
the hat retriever in "Ghidrah — the Three-Headed Monster", is born in Tokyo.
His other sci-fi credits include "Half Human: The Story of the Abmoninable
Snowman", an escaping convict in "Godzilla Raids Again", a would-be firefighter
in "The Mysterians", the first dissolved sailor in "The H-Man", a fisherman in
"The Secret of the Telegian", "Mothra", "The Lost World of Sinbad", the
egg-watching fisherman in "Godzilla vs. the Thing", "Ultra Q", a news cameraman
in "Frankenstein Conquers the World", and "Ultra Seven". He was also a bandit
in "The Seven Samurai", the man who hands the kidnapper the note in "High and
Low", and was in "Kagemusha". He died in 1991 in Urawa City, Japan.

1944: MIKE MAKI, who played Mondo Tatsumi on "Rescue Task Force Go Go V" and
"Rescue Task Force Go Go Five vs. Gingaman", is born.

1947: TOSHIO SHIBAKI, who played Yukio Keuchi in "Godzilla vs. the Smog
Monster", is born Toshio Shibamoto in Tokyo. He also played Kyotaro Kagami
a.k.a. "Mirrorman" in the pilot episode, starred in the TV series "Golden Eye"
